I've been using a Mystery Ranch Coulee 40L as a carry on/hunting pack the last several years.
The waist belt is removable, it doesn't weigh much which is great if I'm bringing it in a checked bag and is up to light meat hauling. I tried several others, but this has been the best compromise pack...
I know guys collect and pay money for the old pre 1941 metal hunting licenses and I've even seen people try and sell the hand written paper back tags, but that's a first for me.

We had a hard frost last week. Looks like the fruit trees handled it just fine for the most part. Lost some peach blooms but the pears, apples and cherries are looking good with warm temps expected for the next week.
