    strawberries are doing pretty well. Got flowers on cucumbers, beans, and zucchini. The group photo is pumpkins, corn, onions, some cherry tomatoes, little bit of left over lettuce, one cabbage, and some pinto beans. So far so good. Its a race to beat the heat and the insects

    found a new restaurant in Lynchburg Va. On my recent trip. Fleming Mountain Grill if you're ever in the area. They have also resurrected a local favorite known as "Mitchell's Chicken" I can't speak to it yet but it did look mighty fine. This is their medium rare Angus ribeye with baked potato...

    managed 10 or 11 of these little fellas. Fun afternoon here in Virginia. I managed to catch a weekend where the weather was pleasant. Nostalgic fun was had.

    Doing some planting today. Tomatoes and peppers in seed trays, couple zucchini varieties going in the ground. Have cucumbers direct sowed just waiting on germination, winter squash will be next week, beans probably next week as well.
