    I have an older Leupold 3-9X EFR with adjustable objective on my 10/22. It's just right for general hunting use and the adjustable objective lets me squeeze out the last big of accuracy potential when punching paper. The newer VX-Freedom 3-9x33 EFR should work just as well.

    I killed a couple with the 139 grain Hornady. Not a scientific study, but they seemed to do the job for me.

    I voted 308 because it’s been the right choice for me over the last several years. The 7mm08 would work as well, but there seems to be more 30 caliber bullet options.
