    Travel Insurance

I looked into it last year before going to Greenland. Seemed pretty pricey, and I'd have to have a pretty serious health issue to not go on a planned hunt. For me, a health issue with aging parents would be more likely and not covered anyway. I always get refundable airfare and call it good.

Goodbye Black Diamond. - School me on headlamps

I love my fenix and have used black diamonds as well. I had to get some cheaper headlamps when I was a scoutmaster and I have been impressed with the EverBrites. Now I carry a backup one in each of my packs. Pretty cheap insurance for $15...

    Burning my soul clean.

I used to think the exact same thing. Now that both my boys are gone, I would trade just about anything to have that stage of life back. Enjoy your time with them now. It doesn't last very long... Sorry about your loss @44hunter45. We'll pray for you and your family. Glad you found some...

    Looking for a travel trailer

https://www.youtube.com/@LizAmazing After watching a bunch of this ladies' videos, I have no desire to buy a new RV. Sounds like used is the way to go or build your own like some have done.

    Wyoming PAC

Hunting-wise, Wyoming has treated me better than any other state, including my home state of Oregon. I'm happy to support any initiative that helps preserve public lands and wildlife in Wyoming.

2026 is off to a good start—with a cow tag punched and a little good karma mixed in.

    Bad Guides and Experiences

I've been on quite a few guided hunts over the last 15 years. Most in Alaska, a handful in Canada and one in Greenland. I can honestly say I would gladly hunt again with any of the guides I have had over the years. Several have turned into lifelong friends. I consider myself lucky.

    Bear Encounters

I've had so many cool bear encounters over the years. Probably why they are one of my favorite animals. On my last bear hunt in Alaska I had this bear come from over a mile away and end up coming 40 yards from camp. I was tagged out so he was safe and just fun to watch.

    Life-size Mountain Goat Taxidermist Recommendations

Animal Artistry out of Reno, NV did my most recent life-size brown bear. They promised 6 month or less turn around time which I thought was very optimistic. I had my bear delivered to my home 5 months from when I shot him. They're not the cheapest, but do outstanding work.
