I have the same rifle in 7 mag and I put a 9/16 thread micro bastard brake on mine. I didn't want to deal with the tax stamp, weight, or bulk of a can when I did mine. -

@Addicting I'm sure you've been researching this, but the 99s had some quirks. First year for the chip in the key and security system that had problems. You can program it out when you do the ls swap. Also, check and see if the brakes got the service bulletin addressed for the rear brakes...- MT_Chad

Helena Gunsmith Recommendations

Time on my hands, time for a project!!!
I'm just shy of 3500 fps with the 88 hammer in my 6mm AI. Sorry, off track from the OP. For a coyote gun that is going in a chassis, I would probably do the American. I prefer tikkas, but are probably cost prohibitive in this situation. If just buying a complete gun I'd go tikka. -

I like dobinsons suspension, they are an aussie brand. Super tough stuff. I put their nitro setup with 2" lift in the front and 1" lift springs in the back of my 4runner. Until you pull up to another 4runner it looks stock. I am slightly out of spec on my alignment, I need to get high...- MT_Chad

I hunted out of my 99 3/4 ton burb for several years. Plenty of room in the cab to carry camp and the 454 had plenty of power to comfortably pull our big trailer loaded with gear and atvs. I usually had an ice fishing sled to throw quarters or whole deer in to get back to camp. Burris veracity PH and Trijicon Acupoint opinions
I havent used the burris, my only experience is looking through the older model in the store. It was okay, but should have been better for the price. Also made in the Philippines, for that price I would expect Japan. I have a trijicon accupoint 2.5-12x42 on order, it will be here next week...
