Which western states have been disproportionately good to you in drawing tags?
25-30 years ago all of them….post internet “influencers”….none! Last 10 years been sub 5% units or nothing, don’t care to hunt in a pumpkin patch nor chase dinks. Wyoming but…Colorado reissues have been Golden!! Broke 200 PP this year.- elkmo

How many bullets for backpack elk hunt?
30...15 for me and 15 of my buddies. I carry all his ammo, prevents dink killing. -
Anyone notice changes with Colorado's reissue list this fall?
Its working just fine…grabbed another 10pt deer tag this year, not the greatest but feels like gold with zero PP! Most likely end up as tag soup like prior leftover tags, just hoping to turn up something special.- elkmo

Lake City CO Game Packing service
Anyone know of packout service in the Lake City, CO area? Forest Service permitted list seems outdated. Several outfitters I have been able to get ahold of don't mess with it, some won't return calls. thanks -
Last minute hunts/Cancelations for AK pilots
Might consider taking a boat on the Yukon vs flying/dropped. Mobility vs confined to a mile or so from camp. Rented a boat out of Galena then to our unit, lots of rivers and sloughs to hunt.- elkmo

Nevada FCFS archery mule deer... because why not?
Check engine lights can come on with just fuel formula changes in different regions. Ie 85 octane in colorado when your vehicle gas been on 87, combined with elevation does not help.- elkmo
