Tanning you own furs?
Tanning is a lot of work, particularly the fleshing (removing meat/fat) and the final "breaking" or stretching process to make the hide soft and pliable. Products like EZ 2000 Tanning solution Liqui-Tan, Tannit, and Lutan-F are great!- Malta899

Tipi style wall tent?
I have a pyramid (square) and a tipi (round). The mid is 10 x 10 and the tipi is 13 foot diameter. Both are silnylon and weigh around 2 lbs each. Boots for extra wide feet?
I wear a 13 4e and the crispi seems to be the best so far. Irish setter runs wide but don’t last forever. Believe it or not under armor boots treated me pretty good and are some of the widest I’ve tried. If they still made the Uninsulated browtine I’d buy another pair to replace the pair I burnt...- Malta899

Hang a bear rug?
I hung one of mine with black furniture nails. They're basically a black thumbtack with a 1/2" shank. Blends in pretty well with the black backing.- Malta899

Freeze dried meat
The finished freeze-dried product will be very susceptible to moisture, it will need to be stored in a manner that protects it from the humid environment. Water activity testing will be useful to verify the shelf stability.- Malta899

What 100 year old cartridges do you use
I love odd ball calibers. I don't really own too many currently. Toughest ones are probably 32 S&W short, 30-40krag. I used to have a 6mm x284 that was essentially a wildcat and hard to find brass for until Norma started making the 6.5x284. -

How many bullets for backpack elk hunt?
Generally, 4 in the gun, 5 in the harness, 5 in the pack. That might increase by 5 if I’m going in for multiple days. I never want to need more than 1, but things happen. -
