    First pair of binoculars recommendation?

You are wrong this guy would plenty fine with Vipers or Bx4 which is good glass. Swaro rose to the top in early manufacturing of binoculars but todays manufacturing and glass is completely different. Your only paying for the name now.

    First pair of binoculars recommendation?

First off the guy recommending Swaro’s for a first pair of binos is dead wrong. You’ll be plenty fine starting out and continuing with forever more a $400 pair of Vortex Vipers or Leupold BX4’s.

    Burris Warranty Tested

Thanks! I did get the signature hd 5-25x50 very happy with it! The black diamond was a heck of a scope to but just isn’t on par with the modern scopes.

    Burris Warranty Tested

Burris Warranty Experience: I had a Burris Black Diamond Scope that was 8-32x50 I recently sent in to Burris for repair and I can update you on the service I received which turned out to be excellent! The Black Diamond scope had accumulated some black flecks on the inside of the glass and I...

250 on elk 7mm-08 is barely more powerful then 6.5 creedmoor in factory loadings.

Picatinny rail or reg bases for mark v and vx6 scope?

Burris XTB 25 MOA Steel rails are excellent along with steel Burris Zee Rings. I usually stay away from the aluminum rings unless they are 7075 even then steel is just better.

    Brook trout bait question

If you ever try a fly rod they absolutely adore a Yellow Humpy smashes them every time. Worms have always done well on brooks.

What is your take on the new 7mm Backcountry?

Yes Federal addressed it and it will be reloadable. Federal carries a good name and I trust them. Always made some of the best factory loadings.

6.5 CM as a hunting cartridge... why?

6.5 cm is a nifty little cartridge and the reasons for it are well documented. It does have vastly superior ammo selection compared to 7mm-08 and extremely similar power with factory loadings compared. Great youth and wives cartridge with lead cup and core bullets. I feel the copper mono and...

    New scope for my 22-250?

Vortex Diamondback Tactical is probably the best bang for your buck on the market right now new but if you were willing to buy a older scope I’d nab a Burris Blackdiamond on ebay for $300. Sweet sweet glass and relatively forgotten have the 8-32x50 paid $245 for it. SFP the tactical is a FFP...

Best Bullett for 7mm Rem Mag

150 Grain Sierra Gamechanger has great bc identical to the eld-x but a way thicker copper jacket then the eld-x. Check it out. Always liked Sierra. What is your take on the new 7mm Backcountry?

Initial impressions are fantastic. It uses the same standard .470 bolt head face as a 30/06 so a barrel swap is all you need for most actions. Designed for 20” barrel and is reloadable cases but not sure how big of pain that will actually be or how much life a case will get. Being 30/06 size...
