Or should I spend more time looking in the trees on top of buttes or around them. A lot of the country I checked out was really steep and rugged and I was just wondering if they hang out in that stuff or should I focus my time on more of the prairie grassland?
If there are deer in that area they really like that rugged stuff in the picture. Get on a high spot and just glass. If you can get in early and catch them before they bed down even better. Once the shadows change they would get up and reposition throughout the day. Then in the evenings they would go back out the same general direction they came in. Don't overlook the sagebrush flats come November either
For opening day can i expect a truck at pretty much every field? I have heard this county is pretty packed. I love going deep into public pieces away from roads to try to get away from the crowd a little bit
