I was wondering if the particular road you were referring to was in western CO. I'm pretty familiar with a lot of them in NW CO. These road "closures" on BLM and land locked land seemed to be increasing. I think it may to more folks hunting etc.

Even though I was born in Paonia, just up the north fork of the Gunnison, I have not hunted that unit. I do know that several of the lower elevation landowners near Hotchkiss and Cedaredge prevent the public from crossing their property to access the BLM and NF. Continued mess for most of us. Some of that land is truly outstanding deer and elk country. Good luck, sorry I can't help.
