    Single Bevel Broadhead

I've shot a couple of elk with SB Iron Will broadheads. In my personal experience, I haven't noticed any visual difference between Single vs. Double bevel in penetration, blood trail or effectiveness. Splitting hairs in my opinion. I've also shot elk with 4 blade slick tricks and I've had a...

CO CPW Draw Process Working Group

The Big Game Season Structure was approved for 2025-2029. With that said, they could make changes in-between years, but not typical to see drastic changes within that structure. The next big changes/modifications would be discussed in 2029.

    Wall tent vs tipi tent

If you do end up going the 16p tipi route, I'd spend some time on the Seek Outside website before you buy. They have a good tool to visualize the useable space inside their 16p tipi. You'll can see the challenges of the tapered roof design of a tipi. SO - 16p Tipi

    I’m 0’fer

Between my kids and I, we didn't do as well as we typically do. Managed to pull a couple tags I'm excited about, but I'm thinking the changes to the NW part of the state changed many folks' app strategy. 15x Binos vs Spotting scope

I prefer 10's or 12's on my chest, with a spotter in the pack if needed. Often find myself leaving the spotter behind or it rides in my pack all day. I personally would not bring two sets of bino's.

Elk Caliber and Bullet Choice - 2024

I'll be hauling around my 6.8 western with 175gr sierra handloads. 3rd season with it and its my go-to for pronghorn, mulies and elk. Great all around setup for me and the kids.

    Sleeping in truck or tent

I've spent many of nights in my 04 Tundra. I lay down the backrest of my backseat which makes a flat platform to layout a foam beadroll. I'm 6', so I can't completely straighten out my legs which is the downside. Its really nice to turn over the truck and get some heat blasting when elk hunting...
