I am heading out there for the first time this year as well. I would highly recommend spending lots of time on OnX and google earth pro to find your public land and spots to glass!
Federal premium ammo has been in stock quite a bit lately here. 9mm ammo and 223 showing up too.
I stopped in a small local gun shop yesterday. He had almost nothing to sell. Said he hasn’t seen a primer in over 8 months and all his distributors are only selling to “the big guys.”

I’d grab a few boxes of potential ammo you would like to use. Shoot them and see what the rifle likes. I really wanted to use Barnes TSX but my rifle did not like them. Settled on Berger HB hunter in 168 and can consistently shoot .75-.8moa out of an 18” gas gun...
Yeah that is what I heard too. I also noticed that you can't find a Mcmillan in stock anywhere so I would assume Browning can't get them either. Hopefully you can get it soon!
Did they give you an ETA on the production of your rifle? I ordered a 2022 Hell's canyon LR Mcmillan recently and they have no idea when they will even start production this year from what I was told.
Yeah I should’ve been more specific. Our farm is on the border of C and F (southern adams) and have never seen a bear. Therefore I will wait till I can go way “up nort.”
We did start finding wolf track this year though.
I have another 2 years to draw for the northern zones. Thought about drawing for zone C since you can do it almost every year, but it doesn’t seem there are too many bears there.
