    This. This means the animal can't be tilting his head up, and can't be feeding. Needs to be looking right at you. You will need to "stick" the animal as well. (Cut major blood vessels/poke heart with knife)

    They are harder to use even at extremely close range, and the velocity out of a .22 pistol is way less than a rifle. A .22 rifle will drop an angus bull right where he stands, I've talked to farmers who have shot them with 9mm pistols and still had to get the rifle out.
