Well so I’m specifically speaking with regards to the Colorado issue proposed I have no idea about IL. But if you are getting the gun registered through their law I would think that yes that constitutes ownership as long as you can keep proof that it’s registered. All older weapons are not automatically grandfathered in without proof of ownership if you are stopped or questioned for any reason. And you get 3 days to prove it. Draw Question
In my opinion, general rule of thumb is lower/no points to draw, either the unit is “harder” in the sense of animal numbers, tags allowed, or public land. You most definitely can still get it done in those units, it just may not be as easy.- TheReaper8899

Buy new duck decoys or fix old ones
I’d keep the old decoys for earlier on in the season just to have numbers on your side, but later in the season use the newer decoys when birds are more pressured. If you decide to use the old decoys in your spread great, if not, no harm in just having them.- TheReaper8899
