Hunted the area 3rd rifle this year, saw 6 bucks including mine come out of just one section of forest. It was actually kind of disheartening seeing that many taken. Hopefully the population is doing well enough it didn't hurt. Not sure the score of this guy but hes my first buck so i'm beyond...- Stsinclair

Eastern Colorado Turkey Hunting
Ill correct myself, I was wrong. While Dove hunting at Timpas Creek I was checked by the ranger and asked him what the deal was with certain species being listed and some not when they are clearly hunted in that area. He said in the brochure they just list the most popular animals hunted there...- Stsinclair

Ive also hunted that area since the mid 2000s, took my first bull at 14 or 15 years old in 36. Like others have said it gets pretty crowded during OTC seasons, and I don't remember a year that it didn't snow on us. Had an OTC Bull tag for an area close to 33 last season 3rd rifle. I watched a heard of 11 cows and a spike bull at about 250 yards for almost an hour and a half in a meadow. Id probably go for the cow tag if you can, sure wish I would have...- Stsinclair

2021 Colorado Draw Results
Ran into a Bear during Elk hunting last year, drew a tag this year incase it happens again. I don't know that ill be actively hunting a bear this season but ill be sure to check out the area I saw him last year.- Stsinclair

I very well could, first wild turkey I heard gobble sounded like he was right on the other side of the tree, turns out he was more like 60 yards. I've tried to keep that in mind now when judging distance.- Stsinclair
