I have to agree with you. I don't feel like anything needs to change. Those of us that have been playing this point game for 20+ years understand you're probably only going to get a 61 or 76 bull elk tag as a NR once in your life time. Those just getting into the system don't feel they should... -
2023 Utah Draw Results
I've got 17 NR LE Bull points, 10 LE deer and 4 General deer points. Was wanting to try to burn my LE elk points on an archery hunt this year, but my dad should draw a couple tags in Colorado, and the timing was just bad this year. Big Changes Coming
I'll be the guy who waits until the last day to apply this year. New Mexico results come out 4/26 and Utah deadline is 4/27. Hoping for no system crash when I apply! -

Just got the application done. What are the bets that the system crashes on the last day, and they extend the deadline? I'm guessing it's at least 60% odds. -
Colorado Deer Seasons
Last year I burned 23 NR points for a 66 3rd rifle tag. I saw lots of bucks, but no really mature bucks, not the experience I was hoping for. Just didn't get the weather to really push the deer down and make them more concentrated. I personally will never try to save that many points again... -
Who’s applying in CO?
I applied for an archery elk hunt, but I'm 2 points short of last year's points required, so really just applied for a point. Burned all my deer points last year, so just starting to build again.- Stevo74

Going from 80 to 85% let off on bows is a long ways from a cross bow. Many newer bows are sold with 85% let off, and you have to purchase a separate cam or "mod" on the cam to meet the 80% rule for Colorado. -

4th rifle was a 2 point creep where I applied last year, and the # of tags were cut, so I didn't draw. 3rd and 4th seasons are going to be crazy this year with the season dates. I'd have a plan B if I were you. 3rd season this year is what 4th season dates were last year. I'm going to apply...- Stevo74

Need some truck advice - F-150 down...
I agree completely. I was looking to buy a Tacoma, drove one, and wasn't impressed. Not much power, minimal towing capacity, and really poor mpg for a truck that size. I drove all the midsize and 1/2 ton full size trucks on the market. I ended up buying a Ram 1500 4x4. Very comfortable, tons...- Stevo74

Yes it's amazing how fast they go. Another thing that frustrates me is the archery tags showing up today, 9 days after season has started. If they have to be turned in 30 days before season, there's no reason it should take that long to show up on the list.- Stevo74
