    I shot 20+ rounds out of one at camp one time trying to blow an old stump apart. The next morning, my hand was black and blue.

    I don’t think there are any elk left on public in Colorado and the woofs will surely drive away the ones that are there. Id start focusing on Montana general tags, especially if you are normally someone who puts in for Colorado units that take 7+ points.

    I feel like I’ve spent a fair amount of time chasing some of those herds listed and those estimates are way higher than I would have guessed. I must just suck and should hunt harder I suppose. Oh well. #keephammering

    Glad you’re ok. Someone’s definitely looking out for you. I don’t think one green can would be enough for me after that. Not sure I’ve ever seen a rollover end in a creek like that but I know I always get nervous on those skinny forest roads when they are greasy. Your experience looks like it...

    Did you shoot your first deer with open sights?

    Model 99 300 savage with a scope. I obviously didn’t put it on there and though it’d be better without it I don’t have the heart to alter the gun.

    A unit I was hoping to draw got burned and now is likely forever out of reach. Only so many 0-1 point 1st rifle units out there. After that episode the point creep only went up substantially. Not sure why the in depth details on season and required points are always a must when producing a show.
