    Blending powders

I'm pretty sure the short range benchrest guys do some powder blending. They don't talk about it but they do it.

    GUNWERKS

I shoot the shotgun sports with a mid-range Beretta. Would I shoot a fancy, engraved K80 if I had the discretionary coin to drop on one. . . . of course I would. That said, my old Beretta breaks birds just fine. Now, if the guy steering it just knew what he was doing. . . . . .

A wise man once said that the only thing worse than losing a good dog is living in a house without one. I hope Boone gives you many, many happy years.

    Christensen Arms, what's the verdict?

Ok, here's my tale. . . not meant to throw stones at christensen or anyone else. I picked up a used stainless Remington LA at a gun show: , a take-off .280 barrel on line, a used Remington TI stock on line. Opened up the chamber on the barrel to .280 AI; faced off the front of the action...

    Is an ATV worth it??

Not only for hauling deer out of the woods but for firewood, a load of gravel, construction projects etc. etc.. . . . How I got along without my trusty Polaris side-by-side, I'll never know.

    Cool old glass

No pictures to post but I've always had a soft spot for the old Lyman permacenter scopes, fixed 4X or 6X with AO if you happen to stumble onto one.

    243 powder recommendation?

I've loaded for perhaps a dozen different .243's using different bullets in the 80-90 grain range. I seem to always find myself going back to an old standby, H414 (WW 760).

    I need shotgun advice

I second the Beretta. I have several, dead nuts reliable and probably the softest shooting semi auto out there.

Over / Under Shot Guns - school me on proper choke set-up

I've primarily shot birds that sat pretty tight over a pointing dog. Never saw the need to use anything over than skeet and IC out of a well traveled old citori
