Were those indeed Medium rings in your photos? Im looking to mount that Leupold VX3i with the 40mm obj lens (177820) on a Browning X-Bolt WH but wanted to ensure I had enough height for a good cheek weld and eye relief.
I'm looking at the same rifle, want to mount it with the Leupold VX3i with a 40mm objective (Part # 177280) ... did you mount your scope on a rail? Or just bases with rings? Curious what your setup is. Thank you!
Really nice setup! I found the same rifle in 300WM and want to mount it with the same scope. May I ask what height rings you used? Also, why do you prefer no picatinny rail? Just curious. I'm trying to figure out how high vs low I want to mount my Leupold.
You own a T3X Roughtech in 300WM? I am weighing options ... will either buy the T3X RoughTech or an X-Bolt Western Hunter. What are your likes/dislikes of the T3X?
I just moved to UT from CA and will more than likely hunt Kamas next season for mullies. Any suggestions on canyons or peaks to check out for scouting this coming summer? Happy to help you scout in return.
I just moved to Utah from California and will more than likely hunt solo in the Kamas unit since it's closeby. I am eager to backpack hunt and get away from the roads/busy trails with wall tents. Any suggestions on where to start scouting in that unit?
Just bought this same VX3i and love it, but only hangup is dialing from 4 on up ... the "lever" isn't very great with gloves on ... any advice on finding a quality aftermarket throw lever? I see MK Machining offers models in a polymer but the reviews are horrible. They are constantly breaking on...
How have you liked your X-Bolt Western Hunter? I have been eyeing that same rifle in 300WM and for the price it's tough to pass on. They're a steal of a deal at the price point and I've heard nothing but solid reviews about the stock & barrel.
How have you like this X-Bolt now that you have a few seasons under your belt with it? I have been eyeing an X-Bolt Western Hunter in 300WM and for the price, it's tough to beat. Love any advice now that you've shot your broomstick for awhile now.
