I had promised to share a story and pictures back in June. Thanks to all who helped. By the way, I didn’t shoot a ‘shaved sheep dog’.
Big Sky Billies and Blunders
I often wonder how I would respond to certain situations. The end of this mountain goat hunt would be no different. After numerous...
Good to know. Thank you. I’m in decent shape but need to get into goat shape this summer. These pictures are from an evening hike near my house. Fun to be amongst Beasts The Color of Winter.
Haha. I have seen many topics started on Hunt Talk and not finished. I get it. I promise to post pictures and stories. My main goal is a goat with a bow and hair length comes second. However, I’m not after a shaved sheep dog 😀. Thanks.
Good afternoon hunttalkers. I am looking for a little help. I drew a goat tag for 323 this year. I live in the NW corner of the State and have applied for goats in those districts for years. The number of tags given keeps dropping in the 100 districts, so I put in for 323 and drew! I keep trying...
Energizer and others make chargers that are charged at home and then just plug a camera or phone into the usb port on the charger. Able to charge a phone or camera 1-2 times per charge. Worked great on a recent bivy.
I enjoy hunting elk in September with my bow and hunting the whitetail rut in November with my bow. I don't know which I would choose each year, but I hope I never have to find out. I think there would be a lot less bowhunters with a choose your weapon system, but how many of the 40,000 current...
I have yet to find a Mountain House meal or Richmoor meal I didn't like. With a jetboil, water is boiling in about one minute. Pour the boiling water directly into the dried food and wait about 8-10 minutes before eating. Hard to beat a hot meal when in the backcountry.
For general outdoor use, I have carried an olympus waterproof/shockproof camera. I like the ability to carry the camera in my shirt pocket and it is ready to shoot at a moments notice. I can take the camera while wading and casting for rising trout and not worry if I drop the camera in the water...
Love the old pictures. With the Bob in my backyard, I have been all around it, but never in it. This summer, I plan to fix that. Maybe even a hunt in the fall.
