    Bow with judo broadheads. I’ve thought about packing a .22 pistol during rifle season just for grouse, but don’t like the idea of making noise while hunting elk.

    I don’t worry about it. I throw them somewhere on my pack, try to keep them out of the sun. You can breast them very quickly by stepping on their wings and pulling their legs, then you could throw them in a ziplock bag maybe and put them inside your pack.

    I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw I drew a moose tag in SW Montana, not far from my home in Missoula. I’ve been diving deep into research both here and elsewhere and will be speaking with the biologist, but would love to discuss privately with others who have hunted Shiras. Thanks!

    Beltian White holds a special place in my heart so will always be my favorite. Live in Missoula now so get to drink a lot of great beer. Bayern and Draughtworks are my favorite, but most of the locals are good. Big sky is my least favorite but still better than the national beers.
