Goat tag area 323 MT
I camped in 323 and hunted in 329. Awesome experience. Hope to do it again someday. I saw a lot of goats in 323 when I was scouting and hunting.- Rat Fink

Which fat? What percent?
22 lbs of venison mixed with 3 lbs of bacon ends is the perfect mix for my burger grind. When making sausages I do 70% venison, 15% pork fat, and 15% pork butt. That ratio has turned out a bunch of excellent sausages over the years.- Rat Fink

I just left the breaks last Thursday. Felt like I was in Spokane all week there were so many Washington Plates. Pretty sad really. -

I killed a bird there opening morning. Glad I did because it has been a zoo ever since. We will get back out there this weekend trying to get the wife a bird. Elk Hunting 380-20
General tag cow hunting is from Oct 20-Nov 11 in the North and South units and NOT on National Forest land. They scaled back the number of B licenses as part of the changes but still giving out 475 of those as well. -

Be prepared for a massive shit show during the open cow hunt. Gonna be a lot of people in there trying to fill their general tags with cows or spikes. -

It is the "best " unit in the state for one thing. Drawing in tons of hunters to apply for the tag, freeing up more opportunity in other great units. 380 is right out my back door and I don't apply there for bulls. American Prarie Reserve bought Two Crow. good news or bad?
I can't think of any knowledgeable hunter that would hunt doves there. With a start date of September 30 and steel shot only, why bother? They could at least allow other forms of non toxic shot as the lethality of steel sucks.- Rat Fink
