    Golden Retriever Puppies

Great looking puppies! I absolutely love my field golden. He's still got his best years ahead of him or I'd be very tempted. Good to know about BNC, I'll be following and will keep you in mind.

    Broadhead Selection

Went with the black hornets. I agree on the ability to sharpen them to the point of extreme danger. One word of note, I did feel like because of the larder broadhead / surface area, they did expose some tuning issues in my bow that field tips or mechanicals didn't. So just a word of warning to...

    Vest Advice

Haven't used the catalyst vest, but have loved the Brooks Down for lightweight packability (cuts the weight of the catalyst in half). One of my fav pieces from them, has held up well from numerous trips and washings with down compliant detergent.

Flatlander's First Elk Tag: CO 49

Wasn't able to fill the tag, but got about as close as possible without doing so. First night we had a bull at about 30yrds with no shot and had to back out once legal light ran out. Struggled to find elk for a few days with bad weather rolling in, but finally found a nice pocket with a few good...

    Plate ‘em up

Few of our favs are venison tartare, crockpot shanks, and grilled venison bulgogi *not pictured* (works great with heart). Let me know if anyone needs the recipes!

    Foot pain

That could very well be true but going that route can also just exacerbate existing underlying issues, causing more severe injuries... but in general I agree, we probably cause our own problems with modern footwear.

    Foot pain

Dang, sorry! Had similar issues playing college sports post knee surgeries... lots of progressive stretching (hamstrings & calves), as well as certain body weight exercises / drills to help strengthen the smaller muscles around knee and ankle joints really worked for me. It was / is still a...

    Freezing Meat for Return Trip

Thank you, that's helpful! How long do you usually leave it cracked before sealing / traveling? Not trying to create some form of a dry ice bomb in the bed of the truck!
