Casper went to sh*t the day I moved here. I'm putting on a BHA meeting on 08/24 at Blacktooth Brewing downtown. Should come check it out!
Anyone who is doubting Casper being windy, Laramie too, is a darn fool.
It's been officially decided then. Montana being the biggest, and therefore obviously the best, wins it! Free elk tags with over objective populations simply cannot be beat. Number 1-5 on the top 5 states to choose when "moving West" and especially east.
I long for the day of moving to...
Well don't look at my results from last year. Wyoming has nothing to do with it, all dumb luck that statistically will never happen again to anyone ever and these are the worst tags in the state most would pay to get rid of. It's like the state is stealing from me really.
Idaho has a whole lot...
To this point, I have accessed lots of private land in Wyoming since moving here just a few years ago. Some through HMA and Walk-In, some through personal connections. I haven't heard no yet actually, just a few non-replies which I let be. Some of the ranches I've hunted on have worked in...
I'm not sure if it's well known yet or not, but Wyoming has introduced a bill to broaden the definition of the current law and make corner crossing more clearly ILLEGAL.

If I remember correctly, I thought I heard that the landowners surrounding this piece of public, which has been accessed via helicopter, banded together to build a fence around the entire thing. This prevented the elk from returning up into the high ground on public and kept them all on private...
It would be nice to have a GPS mapping system available to the public that is accurate enough for legal standards. Maybe that requires a different device than a cell phone, but seems much more feasible than physically marking all corners in this modern age of technology. Might help the private...
Well that's about the size of my house, so guess I need another one. Add that to the budget. Haha
One thing I haven't heard much about is powder storage, is that common knowledge that I don't possess yet?
Haha
I'm in Wyoming. I wonder if my feelings being hurt about not being able to access that public section next to the elk mountain ranch due to the signs and chains would be enough "injury in fact" to get the ball rolling. Maybe file a complaint with the local game Warden about it? Or better yet...
I thought episode one was a good introduction to a very complicated and multi-layered issue, especially the current Wyoming case. I hope the clarification we are seeking comes sooner rather than later to nip this in the bud, despite it being an issue for quite a while. I can only see more and...
