I think that this is key... I know quite a few hunters they want to do the 500 to 700 yard shots which come up very rarely in the wooded parts of Pennsylvania...

Well many years ago my Ruger #1B No Sights...a tack driver.. never should have sold her,
anyway going down a mountain but more or less really climbing down the mountain fell down backwards not really that far landing on the rifle, the scope was crushed no spare rifle, Broken scope OY pouring...

Yes, trigger press is very important...let’s look at some of the others...shouldering the weapon, sling no sling?...sight alignment, breathing, safety..etc...
Me personally the two rifles I hunt with have iron sites I know where they shoot I know the limitations of my eyesight in case something...
Luke I agree...iron sights first if something happens to the scope(oh it will)...you know how and where to aim your rifle/handgun...I feel you’ll know your weapon.
