Sciatica
I am recovering from an 8 hour surgery on my lower spine, they fused 3 vertebrae and installed a ton of hardware and a couple bone grafs. Point being if you choose surgery it can take a year to recover so try other options first. I had the surgery 4/6/22 and I don't know if I can hunt this fall.- OldSnort

Life and ugly guns
I will and do hunt with old guns, new guns, and some ugly guns. I live in Alaska so I choose function over form every time. Synthetic stocks have an edge here because it is hard to protect the wood while you are hunting mostly out of a boat or ATV. I love wooden stocks and there are plenty of...- OldSnort
