I was planing on hunting near the tops, I have 15 days to find a bull. Will be there on the first of Nov, should give enough time to figure the puzzle out.
I agree with you, Nevada can only hold so many elk and I don't think they can expand that much more. Lack of water is big and the wild horse problem in giant. I don't there is a bad elk unit in Nevada, it is managed for Quality. There are other states that the draw odds are a lot better...
I was wondering how the Nevada elk hunt in unit 231 went in 2018. I drew the elk tag this year for the same hunt. Any info would be greatly appreciated, I had 18 points a long time waiting.
The demand is incredible and isn't going to get better. With the internet, research has made it to easy. The odds were better when it was paper applications and going to a bank for a cashier's check. I'm not saying it's a bad thing but it has changed hunting forever. I been playing this bonus...
