    How about putting in writing a limit on how far you can shoot? Maybe 400 yards maximum? Sure it would be hard to enforce but it speaks to Randy’s social norm. 80% would follow.

    I don’t blame Wyoming for wanting to match what they see around them (90/10) but I really hope they don’t split the 10% further with the outfitter pool. That will make the DIY tag in Wyoming to see point creep that we have yet to experience. It would probably have to switch to a 100% random...

    Butte/Anaconda Area

    I have scouted 211, 210 and 216 this summer. After what I have seen I am moving on to scout further south into region 3. Send me a PM. I will most likely be in 332 or 319 Labor Day weekend. If we find elk we might be back the week of the 24th. I know there is a fire affecting part of 319.

    A tad early this year?

    My trail cams in backcountry of Washington state have shown bulls starting to shed velvet anytime between August 5th and 15th the past three years so I would say it is about normal.
