Montana on the Upswing?
SE Montana is in the hurt bag bad. Just came back from a trip out there. Numbers are slim to none in the open country where three years ago you would see tons of deer everyday. There are some deer to be found around the rivers and ag fields….mainly private. Bad drought the last few years and EHD...- MNWhitetail

Tons of land to hunt in these two areas. Pick whether you want to stay in the forest or open country. Lots of deer and little bucks. Would be a very fun hunt for a youth to do. Went to Unit A again this year - buck activity and sightings were way down from the year before. We had five guys out there and we were spread out throughout the unit. Wyoming general region A or Y
Did you end up hunting WY? If so, what unit? Two of us went out there mid/late Nov and hunted Region A. My friend shot a pretty decent 3x3 and I shot a messed up rack whitetail on the last evening. Saw tons of deer, mainly private land but saw a good amount on public also. Fun hunt.- MNWhitetail

Wyoming General License Strategy.
You will see lots of guys on the roads. Very few get out of the truck unless they are ready to pull the trigger. This was my experience in region A last year. Get out and go over the hill, you will see much more animals. Also get OnX if you don't have it. Good luck.- MNWhitetail
