Just an observation, Tikkas are fabulous shooters but you have to put the safety in the fire position in order to unload it. Or at least they used to require that, maybe they have changed. Pack workouts
I use a 40 lb bag of wood pellets for my Traeger. When I am done training in the fall, I use them. Dog food works well too, but if going in griz country I don't want to smell like a dog food bag. So wood pellets it is. Super easy and nothing to store.- MNElkNut

measured the neighborhood buck tonight. 81 and 71. Beautiful. We should get to watch him all summer I hope! -

Ours dropped really early this year. Late Dec into January. By end of January, they were all dropped except a very few. We scouted lots of deer (like a thousand or more) Feb 1/2 and saw exactly 3 bucks with headgear and one of them only had 1. Pretty early for here. -

neighbor found both sides of a big neighborhood buck, one allegedly scored 84 but i am somewhat skeptical as i think he is not quite that big. i will see it tonight. my boys have found about 10. biggest was 67. i found a beautiful matched pair last fall that were 73 and 74. -

Both of us recycle the same Vday card from 20-some years ago. I carefully store it every year and give it to her. She does the same. So Hallmark got us once in roughly 25 years!- MNElkNut

CRP vs Cattle vs. Farming for Wildlife Questions
I have had land enrolled in CRP for quite a few years. Whey we did it, there was cost share and incentives available for planting native grasses/trees/shrubs.
