Just got back from Kentucky. From what I understand I was lucky in the fact that I saw a lot of elk. I was 29.8 yards from a 7x6 for 5 minutes and never had a good shot. I was able to harvest a nice 3x3 as my first elk. Super excited and most importantly made life long friends and will...

I hired a guide already unless I draw a unit they do not offer. I am not a trophy hunter by any means. I will Be blessed to fill the tag on day 1. Thank you and I look forward to seeing that side of your state!

Spring hunting poll

I hunt turkey every year, but I generally focus more on morels and crappies. It’s hard to beat pan fried morels in butter next to a crappie fillet.

4 years still waiting on my buck. How long is too long?

His shop is really small and he has two life size animals taking up room. He did send me pictures. I am a pretty understanding guy generally, but if it’s the same story by the end of the month I will probably go get it.

4 years still waiting on my buck. How long is too long?

Ironic this came up today as I was going to post something similar. I am on 26 months and keep getting a similar response. The one difference is I have had 3 other deer done by this guy and I know he is a small shop and backed up, but still makes me nervous.
