It is clean and can still see the rifling..I'm sure it is worn but I am not an expert on that...I can take a cartridge and see how far down it seats at the end of the barrel....that's on old trick I was shown, but it is far from scientific. -

I've got a classic Winchester Model 94 in 32 Winchester Special. Year of manufacture is 1949 from tracing serial numbers and production numbers. Looks like it's out of a western classic movie....I test fired it 25 years ago and then used it as a wall hanger...times force sale...asking $1200 or... -

CO elk hunt DIY
Don't know anything about that unit, but if memory serves me it seems like all the comments about that portion of the state is usually "saw tons of elk on private property and they never came off". My two cents is I'd find an all rugged mountain unit with less public lands consisting of fields... -

CO unit 44 Otc 2nd or 3rd rifle
With several folks talking about the altitude, I'd also advise to make sure your gear is up to the task. Seen plenty of folks dreaming of hunting elk in Colorado and other great states, and good on ya, but many come out for a hunt and have inadequate gear (boots, optics, and pack comes to mind)... -
