Choosing the right gun for the hunt
I took a blued, walnut stocked Model 70 to Alaska, and a small cleaning kit and small spray can of CLP. It was fine, and it was always wet. It was 300 Win Mag, because I was a one-gun guy for big game those days (and many after).- longbow51

Some pretty smart guy on another forum said maybe not for the Ruger No. 1 either (in 6.5 CM). I wasn't going to do it anyway as my wife is recoil sensitive, and doesn't need the extra performance at the range she shoots.- longbow51

Anyone know anything about JEPQ or JEPI? Seems almost like derivatives in a way, but they've been doing well for a while, writing covered calls. Not qualified dividends, though, taxed as ordinary income.- longbow51

What's on the smoker today?
Did these on Sunday; there was enough of the pork belly attached we did it as mock burnt ends. You can barely see the rack of spares. Gave a friend a short plate and a couple of spareribs for dinner and she was really happy.- longbow51
