Remember coming up on a yurt that would have been just across the field up on the ridge inside the woods on the West side of 17 that I guessed was owned by CPW. A ranch isn’t too far further East on hwy 17 from where it was. -

Thanks, I definitely agree hunting solo is a disadvantage. Bow hunted Elk twice in Colorado. First time with friends, second time solo. I was in my early 40’s then. I wouldn’t do it again. -

Thank you for your understanding. I am a older hunter (62) grew up more for necessity than sport ( to put food on the table). I understand hunters not wanting to give away their honey holes. Am a lot the same way myself. However I sympathize with some of these guys asking for help who are... -

Supposedly the way I understood it. A lot of that goes on ? I was surprised to hear that but could see it possible seeing at how hard it would be to pack out that much meat for a very far trekk. -

Was reading a thread yesterday about a guy finding a gut shot bull. Some how traced it to the hunter that shot it. Said there were two bulls running together when the hunter started shooting at them from a long range. Shooting so far away that he gut shot one bull without knowing he hit it... -

Dang !!! Your in a no lose situation there !!! When it comes to Elk and White tail hunting you have the best of both worlds. Use to hunt White tails there. BIG white tail bucks. Personally if I lived there I would spend most of my time hunting them over Elk. -
