Your quote doesn't show it, but everything in italics is set to be struck from current law. Bold is an addition, italics is removal, so essentially everything in the above quote will be removed from exemption. It's a weird convention for ballot petitions.- Laszlo Cravensworth

It's absurd that it qualified for the ballot, but that's not very difficult in Oregon. I'm sure they got many of those signatures with deceptive tactics: "Do you want to end animal cruelty?"
