    Powder

I would rework your load. I have had to because the new batch is hotter.

    Powder

I have had the same issue and I believe they have changed some of the powders over the years. I think with several different brands all made by the same company. I think they have changed some of the similar powders into one or the other or something in between.

    Reloader 33

33 was the only powder Alliant suggested on their website. Retumbo works great for 250gr bullets. I was looking for something better for 300gr.

    Reloading Equipment

With the NEW Hornady dies adjustments are much easier to make Try one and You won't go back. The others are fine if you only load one bullet but if you switch bullets and try different seating depths you need to step up to dies with a micrometer to get better. Then you are adding $100-200.

    Magpro/ 7mm wsm

I used it on 162gr bullets works good but when I went down to 154s Win 760 works better. My son's shoots 1/3 in groups with the 154s so I went to that. Velocity is 2930fps for the 154s and 2800 for the 162s

    Reloading Equipment

I've been reloading with Hornady equipment for 15 years and love it. The rock chucker is a great press but If you are on a budget I would make a list of what you need-want and compare what you get to the price. I would strongly recommend Hornady dies. The new ones are awesome. You won't be...

    Which single stage kit?

All three presses are good. I would lean towards the Hornady kit. The powder measure is more accurate. I wouldn't trust the cheap digital scales if you are trickling into them, at least get a second one to check it. The new Hornady dies are the easiest to set and adjust. Better than many of the...

    Illuminated Reticles

You need one with adjustable brightness control that goes pretty dim for it to not overpower your eye in low light situations.

    2nd range day results.

Nice shooting!!! If you find some Amax bullets they are good deer bullets but not heavy enough construction for big bears-stick with the A-frames for them. Amax are the only match bullet I would hunt deer with. I prefer brunettes but Married a blond.-Its whatever works.

    Good load for 300wsm

The chronograph is a good Idea but make sure you check velocities @ the temps you will be hunting @. Don't buy the hype that extruded powders don't lose velocity in cold weather. This includes the so called extreme powders. The ball powders will vary more than extruded but probably only 10-20...

    Good load for 300wsm

I use win 760 with 168 gr Amax and 165gr sst and they shoot well out of my savage. get a hornady reloading manual but approach max load with caution especially with a diff brand of bullet.

    Chronograph recommendations

You also can get the actual velocities for the temp you are hunting in. Most loads drop off significantly in colder weather. My prochrono doesn't work well in midsummer direct sunlight that is the only time I get goofy readings. My solution was to us it under a shade tree in the summer. If it is...
