0-275 yds it'd be hard to beat the 7mm 120gr BT on any size deer. They're tougher than the 140's. If you want thump outta a 7mag load the old school Hornady 175gr RN bullet. I high shouldered a big doe @ 150yds and it appeared to just shove her back 3ft, and body slam her, but the THUMP...
I've had some success with CFE223 in .308 loaded for a friend a few yrs back. He supplied the brass (FED) and I used some back shelf components to get him a deer hunting load on the cheap. I used old 165gr Nosler solid BT , some (don't try this at home) pulled Fed 210 primers, and a dusty...
I'm in the haven't tried it yet camp, but I remember reading it didn't thrill when looking for serious BR type accuracy. Still on my try list for deer hunting though. Right now I'm using a full tilt load of unicorn dust (RL26) in my .243 , so the force is with me this yr.
Hard to beat a decent front rest and leather rear bag setup for BR shooting. Tip... remove the sling swivel studs from the stock so they don't grab the bags. I wouldn't give ya two squirts of pee for a lead sled.... They're aren't worth it.
At the range it's a joystick front rest and a leather rear bag. Small to medium stuff is shot one handed, and med to magnum stuff I usually lay my off hand over top of the scope and use my joystick rest as a regular rest. At home ,or in a hurry it's a bulls bag and an old shot bag sand bag off...
Both the lite and superlite have the same bbl contour. They both have a 24.3" bbl, but from their website the left handed superlite has a 22.3" bbl. I doubt that's right. Every caliber will weigh different from the next. Bigger hole = less weight.
