Small Game/Varmint Caliber Preference
My AR in 5.56 w/ a 16" 1 in 7 barrel does a pretty good job. I have Several optics in QR mounts and usually use a 3-9x 40 for coyotes. Exercise Equipment
I am 66 and totally support the k bells suggestion. check out Skogg system.com it has been great for me. I have regained range of motion and strength to previously injured and arthritic shoulders. Suggestions on an SUV.
I am glad none of my 4 runners knew that getting sideways causes them to roll. I think setup and driver input may affect that. I love getting them sideways. mike r- hedjam

What's happening in my elk spot?
HI Paul, I am leaving tomorrow for that area, will be staying in Stanley. Iam wondering where in the Sawtooth zone you are with those altitudes. I have seen a fair number of Mule Deer and Elk in the higher regions both sides of the Sawtooth Valley in October. West of Stanley Lake and Elk Creek... -

Bison hunt comes to TV
Tonight's plan is watching the show while dining on a bison cheeseburger. Admiitedly store bought bison. I spent some time at Custer State Park this spring and the biologist there called them buffalo, I like that better. Mike r.- hedjam

Nbell, I wouldn't pass on either of those. It is pretty cold in the Sawtooth already I wonder when the bears den up. I was almost 2 weeks earlier last year and didn't see snow until the last 2 days. This year I will bring my snowshoes. I have come to really like this region and enjoy seeing it...- hedjam
