Crash! Bighorn Rams

Mountain lion kills shed hunter
I wonder if the officers tried to shoot the cat and missed? Also am surprised that neither of the young men who were attacked seem to have been armed. Is it that difficult to legally carry in California? Very sad incident indeed. Guy- Guy

This Morning's Ram

Today's Eagle
Walking the bird dog this morning... We found a bird! Eagle was very cooperative about posing for photos. He was perched overlooking the Wenatchee River, Chelan County Washington. Eagles and osprey both like that river and the Columbia as well. Regards, Guy -
This Morning's Ram
Was out to walk my dog north of town today and was fortunate enough to find five rams hanging out together. They were pretty cooperative about posing for photos. I was less than 100 yards from them and the sun was just about perfect for photography. Perhaps someday I'll draw the tag. Until then...- Guy

How long did it take for your first elk?
Oh, I stumbled around seeking elk on my own for a few years. A fellow reached out to me and invited me along. He'd been hunting elk for over 20 years with a great track record. We horse-packed in, set up camp, scouted. Located the elk. Waited for opening day. He bugled a couple of times and less... -

2023-2024 Chukar Adventures
Sometimes I manage to get close to 'em with my camera. Sometimes it's just too much work! When it's the shotgun, for chukar I usually carry a synthetic stocked Beretta 390 12 gauge. Light, and hard to bang it up too much. The pretty over & unders stay home most of the time on that sort of terrain!- Guy
