Are tungsten turkey loads worth the money?
FYI, starting January 1, China is severely cutting back exports of tungsten (along with silver and antimony). This could lead to a rise in the prices of those metals. TSS turkey loads might be getting more expensive soon.- Greybeard

Planning my first Texas hog hunt - any input is appreciated....
As far as BBQ, Salt Lick is very good but my favorite is Micklethwait. Franklin's is the most famous but it's always too dang crowded with a long line that runs outside and down the road.- Greybeard

There are plenty of hogs in the hill country surrounding Austin. Feb and March are very good times as well. Comfortable temps and the hogs are running out of groceries. That means they will come to bait. If your outfitter allows it, do some spot and stalk. That area is good for that kind of...- Greybeard

Definitely not Texas. Stay away. Nothing here but hoot owls and polecats. Plus, you will get chiggers on your privates. -

I love hunting mule deer too. They don't seem to be the smartest critters though, at least compared to whitetails.
