Guided vs diy
Consider having it both ways. Hire a guide to get you to a drop camp and watch them leave and you can do the rest. And a week or so later they come back to haul out your elk. -

Spring bears
Spring bear hunting isn't allowed in Minnesota. I'm thinking that hunting spring bears might be easier than it is in the fall. Springtime food sources are far less reliable and plentiful in the spring when compared to autumn, and I would have to believe that for hunters hunting spring bears over... -
