Ask your onX Hunt questions here!

You're not dumb at all....I'm guessing those are probably all the units you can draw with 100% odds as a resident? Try messing around with some of the switches and dials on the left and you will see things change (e.g. as you lower the draw odds since there are more units with lower draw odds...

I guess this was my main point.

Did you try clicking on a state and then a species in the popup? For example, clicking on Colorado > Elk > "Continue to CO Elk" takes you to filtering tool for most recent CO elk draw odds: https://copeakodds.shinyapps.io/coelk/ Other states/species work correspondingly similar

Just use PeakOdds. It's free (at least currently), so you don't have a subscription to worry about. https://peakodds.shinyapps.io/states/

In the meanwhile, while you're waiting for onX why not just use PeakOdds. Only three states out there right now for deer, elk, and antelope but it doesn't cost anything---at least not yet. https://peakodds.shinyapps.io/states/

Podcast Episodes on Public-Private Property Rights at Intersecting Corners

@Big Fin I think it would make a really interesting episode 3 on this podcast series if you brought together some different stakeholders to talk about some of the different viewpoints on this issue: one or two landowners, BLM or USFS admin, perhaps even a D.A. or U.S. Attorney if you could get...

Podcast Episodes on Public-Private Property Rights at Intersecting Corners

I just got my latest issue of Backcountry Journal from Backcountry Hunters and Anglers in the mail today, and noticed a short article about corner crossing. They had a link to a "corner crossing" pledge in that piece; just thought I'd post here in case anyone wants to sign it...

Podcast Episodes on Public-Private Property Rights at Intersecting Corners

I get the point, which is why I took such an interest in the podcasts and sought out this forum to start a conversation (or join one, rather, as it were). I very much want people to be able to access their (our) public lands just as much as you do. However, there a lot of different ways to go...

Podcast Episodes on Public-Private Property Rights at Intersecting Corners

You must have missed the part where I said, “Not that I wouldn’t respect it if it were the law.” The translation of that is that I would respect people crossing at the corner if that were the legal precedent (which I think it should be). Dirthog just asked for my honest opinion, so I gave it...

Podcast Episodes on Public-Private Property Rights at Intersecting Corners

I didn't say that I wouldn't want "any hunter" to cross; I said that I wouldn't be overly happy about letting "just anyone" cross. Minor semantics in wording that perhaps got lost in the wash. Not that I wouldn't respect it if it were the law. It has very little to do with crossing the corner...

Podcast Episodes on Public-Private Property Rights at Intersecting Corners

This is a great point, and I think is what I was hoping to gain some perspective on. What is the best way to do this? From the podcast I heard a few general approaches: 1. Contact BLM administrators and put on pressure to gain access to checkerboard parcels 2. Contact U.S. Attorney and file a...

Podcast Episodes on Public-Private Property Rights at Intersecting Corners

@antlerradar, would love to hear your thoughts as well. I agree with @Cornell Cowboy that I don't think we're going to get anywhere by pointing fingers and having each side dig our heels in. I definitely want to respect landowner's rights, but also would like to see that reciprocated towards the...

Podcast Episodes on Public-Private Property Rights at Intersecting Corners

Wow, Cornell Cowboy. It sounds like you're situated in a really unique position as someone who understands and can see both sides. You have an obvious grasp of the private landowner's viewpoint (and have even gone through it yourself). At the same time I assume you have an interest in the corner...

Podcast Episodes on Public-Private Property Rights at Intersecting Corners

Agree whole-heartedly with you for large land-locked parcels, but this isn't a particularly useful solution for checkerboard tracts where you can only access a single section at a time and would have to fly to another adjacent section to access it (unless you owned and could fly in your own...

Podcast Episodes on Public-Private Property Rights at Intersecting Corners

Thanks for posting. The section you references on pg. 13 seems specific to national forests (which seems odd as it's a BLM document). Did you happen to notice anything similar that is specific to BLM? I haven't noticed nearly as many places where corner crossing is an issue in national forests...
