50 50 mix of white vinegar and water wiped over it should remover the smell. It's what they use to remove some smoke damage -

Merrium South Dakota Turkey hunt
Not sure where you live but if you are driving thru Nebraska to get to SD you better just hunt NE. Lots of Turkeys from North Platte on. Stop anywhere and ask permission and you will probably get it. Only been turned down twice in 3 years of asking. one of those was because they just turned...- gator1
