My dad has that gun in .243 and although it is surprisingly accurate, it is definitely a turd in terms of build quality. Anyone use semi-auto rifles other than AR style for hunting?

Leupold vx freedom
I have a 3i 3.5-10x40 and a vx-freedom 3-9x40. When comparing the two side by side in varying light conditions, to my eyes the 3i is slightly better optically at least in terms of resolution and brightness.
