Yellowstone Park in June, any suggestions on where to stay?
We stayed at the Bill Cody cabins between Cody and the East entrance. We also stayed in a campground in Gardiner prior. Definitely check Lamar Valley out.- FlatlandHunter

Recovered bullets
175gr Terminal Ascent recovered off shoulder of a cow elk shot at 80 yards quartering away. Used my 30.06 and if I remember correctly it still weighed 167gr after it was cleaned up.- FlatlandHunter

Solo Elk Hunt in Colorado: Am I About to Embark on a Glorious Disaster?
I say go for it and that’s what I did in 2018 in that unit for ML. I was successful on a cow and next time I will debone the quarters. I got her out in 3 trips including my camp but spent 2 days really sick afterwards. Good luck.- FlatlandHunter

To hang bear bags or not to hang bear bags when backcountry hunting.
I will hang bear bags from now on when backpack hunting. I was sloppy after killing an elk a few years ago and left my tent at 7 am for the 1st load of meat hauling. Hunting For Memories Back Home
Watched it last night and really enjoyed it. I learned to hunt in Ohio and Michigan and was involved in a few pushes. Nobody I hunt with does them anymore and we typically just sit and wait for the properties around us to get pushed.- FlatlandHunter

Road Trip
My wife and I have been to Yellowstone twice and both were in the shoulder seasons. Still crowded but not nearly as bad as I have seen photos in peak season. Worst Hotel you’ve ever stayed at ..
Don’t remember the name but in 2015 stayed in a hotel between Des Moines and Council Bluffs on the way home. I was too tired to care but I felt like there was a body under the mattress because it was so high centered. I have smelled dead bodies too many times and it had that odor also.
