    Packing out a elk solo.

    I did a deer in one trip at the age of 27 and it really messed my knees and back up for a good 3 months. Not worth it to take big loads... I would take 4 trips with any elk and I have done lots of backpacking of meat and gear.

    I hunted Idaho the last two years for bow season. Killed a cow on last years hunt, what a great deal for the vets. I fall into that category as well and would't have hunted Idaho if they weren't so good to us :)

    Montanans don't like florida :D We are living in Destin now, back in a rental house I've had since I was in the service a few years ago. This is more of an extended vacation than a move. I did have to get a bay boat this time around. Im looking forward to fishing and duck hunting this winter.
