    Was wondering how you made out in area 4 ?
    We are looking at the same kind of things, draws, food and water. I kinda struggle with funnels and escape routes - I was wondering based on your experience in area 4 if you have any advice or suggestions

    We had 2 of the 4 hunters to shot at Bull elks plus 50 percent filling deer tags too.

    Unit 4 is very steep ground with a lot of other hunters and the numbers dropped way off by Wednesday.

    Every drainage had water. If I was to go back, I would hunt in or on the edge of the Aspens on ridges overlooking the drainages between public and private or same type of areas between the steep slopes of black timber peaks.

    Did you see many elk ?
    I heard there is alot of hunters - Looking at maps and google earth - I think we are looking to go near the old sawmill campground and head south towards Slide mountain and Baldy peak - there doesnt seem to be many vehicle trails. That would put us near the property lines of public and private. Does that seem doable or do you suggest elsewhere ? thank you for your time
