At least we have a ton of options in regards to general deer and elk units.
I lucked out on elk and drew 7-1 this year. Going to be general for deer this year, but I am ok with that as my regular deer unit is general.
A very helpful member on here just set me up with some stats and pointed out what I did wrong.
I should be able to 100% hunt Antelope here every year.
The system works folks, I am just an idiot lol definitely won't make that mistake next year.
True and there are a lot of variables that contribute to that.
I will acknowledge that a general season on antelope is a very stupid idea, but still think there should be more opportunity.
So I am one of the unlucky few who did not draw a Resident Wyoming Antelope tag.
Any other Wyoming Residents out there that can think of any options or how to avoid this next year?
Do I have to apply to a crappy 100% draw odds unit as first choice every year to guarantee a tag? And by crappy...

Congrats! Had to burn my 10 this year as I just got a place in Casper and will be a resident next year. 10pts was a tough spot to be as it wasn't enough to get out of "average" units. Guess it won't matter next year 😜.
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but with applications coming up I am getting a bit desperate for intel on this unit for a -1 hunt.
Me and my Dad are at 10pts and need to spend them this year as we become residents next year.
I have done a ton of research and 35 looks solid, but so does 40...
Scary stuff. Family friend of ours was negligently shot through the stomach by his cousin who thought he was an animal. He had no orange on and was chasing a herd of cows through the trees. His cousin didn't confirm the target and fired. No charges were pressed though. Had to have almost a foot...
