340 Wby for my Dream Hunt!!
On my rum? I've got a nightforce nxs 5.5-22 mounted with talley lightweight ring/bases. Those are the rings that I had on hand at the time and I fully expected them to fail but so far they have held up to about 450 rounds without fail. Shooting 300 grain berger elite hunters. Just trying to help you out brother. A lightweight rifle like that has some recoil and not all scopes are made to be able to handle it. I've got a 338 rum, I don't drink the 223 kool aid, but I do think there is merit to the drop testing. -

Just my 2 cents but with a high recoiling rifle like you've got there I would considering taking a walk over to the rokslide forum and pick a scope off their list of "drop test approved scopes". I suspect it won't be long before you find yourself chasing zero with a low end vortex scope on that... -

I bought a cub and got my ppl a few years ago. It's been a blast. It's the coolest thing I've ever done. My interest is in "backcountry/bush" flying so I've been flying around landing anywhere I can find. No interest in landing on pavement although sometimes it is necessary.- Deez Nutz
