That's good to know...I will probably just use the pack I have for this elk season. Thanks for all the good info. At this point e-scouting and making sure I am in shape are my top priorities. The gear I have will have to do for one more season. -

Rustednuts, Gohunt is now sold out of XL Mystery Ranch Backpacks. I contacted Gohunt to ask if their new 3D maps covered private and public land boundaries. It does. I had just purchased OnX Maps in June. Deleting OnX from my phone and going with GoHunt maps. Stopping auto pay with OnX. Well... -

E-Scouting for Elk using onX
I've been using On-X Maps but this is the first time I'm stumped. I only had 4 points in Arizona and put in for a late rifle season in Unit 8. I never thought I'd get drawn. From listening to others it sounds like I need to find a way in to Sycamore Canyon to find the big bulls. Been hiking hard... -

Sycamore Canyon
I've been drawn for Unit 8 and looking at all kinds of maps, including OnX. If anyone has any helpful advice on the best way into Sycamore Canyon I'd be much obliged. Been hiking and training but this section has me stumped. Not afraid of grueling hikes, preparing for it. -
